The Great Desire

The greatest desire of Mount Pleasant Christian Church (MPCC) and God’s heart is manifested in People experiencing a life-changing connection with Jesus Christ, who commissioned His followers, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19).

MPCC knows fellowship is the cornerstone for new disciples. To obtain this goal, the church breaks into smaller groups as the church becomes larger; it engages people in participating in evangelism and fellowship.

As members of MPCC for 11 years, we have witnessed the amazing growth of the church, and we realized the importance of being involved in a small group setting.  When asked to join the Guest Gathering ministry, we knew this would not only be a way for us to connect new people to the church, but also for us to get connected with others as well. We serve twice per month where we welcome, answer questions, hand out informative literature, and invite guests to our next Membership Inquiry meeting, where we offer new attendees time to visit with some staff and ask journey pastor Ken Jones any questions concerning the church. Everyone who comes to MPCC has come from various backgrounds and life experiences, but our common ground is being a family joined together through Jesus Christ. Our hope is that our guests will leave knowing MPCC genuinely appreciates them and, in turn, will have a desire to grow with us. By this we can “prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up” (Ephesians 4:12).
