Fifty-six is a Mount Pleasant Christian Church ministry for fifth and sixth grade students. We have a weekly worship and learning time on Sundays at 9am in the Student Ministries Center led by middle school pastor Mike Sheley.
We also have special activities throughout the year. In 2009 we rang in the New Year by snow tubing at Perfect North Slopes. We had a spring break party the Sunday night before spring break ended. During our summer break, we had “Out to Lunch” get-togethers every Tuesday at different restaurants. New in the fall of 2009, we began “56 Nights” one Friday each month. We ate snacks and played many fun games. The purpose of “56 Nights” was to introduce our friends to fifty-six in a casual setting.
It is great that we get to have fun and still learn about Jesus, and His love for us. He is all about relationships, and so are we.
