Seventy8 Small Groups

I am involved in a small group for eighth grade boys led by Scott Meek. The small groups have around 10 students, divided up by gender. Most evenings our group meeting starts out with either a game of football or Rock Band. Then we head into our devotional time. The lessons are always Scripture-based and have something that relates to a seventh or eighth grade student.

The small groups participate in community service work, and my group is no exception. In 2009 my group helped the community by working at the Living Bread and In His Name.

All middle school students can agree that school and other activities can be stressful. Sometimes we need a place where we can be open with other people and get away from life’s distractions. It’s great to have a group I can trust, if I am struggling with something in my life.  Seventy8 small groups are definitely the solution!
